UPSC Civil Services IAS & IFS Preliminary Examination 2026 Online Form

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 and Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2026 through the Preliminary Examination. This examination is one of the most prestigious competitive examinations in India conducted for recruitment to top administrative services such as Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and several other Group A and Group B services. Candidates who possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the UPSC Civil Services and Indian Forest Service examinations. The selection process consists of three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personality Test (Interview). The online application process began on 22 January 2026 and the last date to apply online is 11 February 2026. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be eligible to appear in the mains examination conducted later by UPSC. Exam Eligibility
Civil Services Examination Bachelor Degree in any stream from any recognized university in India.
Indian Forest Service Examination Bachelor Degree with one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or Zoology OR Bachelor Degree in Agriculture, Forestry or Engineering from a recognized university.
